Payout Policy

These Payout Terms (the “Terms”) apply to all Hosts who receive booking payments through the Softbnb platform. By listing your property on Softbnb, you agree to these Terms, which operate in addition to the Softbnb Terms of Service, Cancellation Policy, Guest Rules, Host Rules, and other related policies.


1. Payouts to Hosts

1.1. Hosts will receive payments (“Payouts”) for confirmed bookings made through the Softbnb platform.

1.2. Payouts are calculated as the total booking amount paid by the Guest minus applicable fees and deductions (see Section 2 below).

1.3. Payouts will be processed to the Host’s chosen payout method (e.g., bank transfer, wallet, or other supported method).


2. Service Fee (5% Deduction)

2.1. Softbnb charges Hosts a 5% service fee on the total booking amount for each successful reservation.

2.2. The service fee is automatically deducted from the payout before funds are transferred to the Host.

2.3. Example:

  • If a listing is booked for $100 USD (or approximately ₦145,000 NGN), a 5% fee (i.e., $5 USD / ₦7,250 NGN) will be deducted by Softbnb.
  • The Host will receive $95 USD / ₦137,750 NGN as the final payout.
  • 2.4. This service fee covers platform maintenance, customer support, fraud prevention, and other services provided by Softbnb.

3. Timing of Payouts

3.1. Payouts will be released to the Host within 24–72 hours after the Guest has successfully checked in to the property.

3.2. Processing times may vary depending on the payout method, bank policies, weekends, or public holidays.

3.3. Softbnb is not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment processors or banks.


4. Host Responsibilities

4.1. Hosts must ensure that accurate payout details (bank account, wallet, or other information) are provided and kept up to date.

4.2. Any failed or delayed payouts caused by incorrect information provided by the Host shall not be the responsibility of Softbnb.

4.3. Hosts are responsible for all taxes, levies, or charges required under applicable Nigerian laws or international tax obligations.


5. Adjustments, Cancellations & Refunds

5.1. If a Guest is entitled to a refund under the Softbnb Cancellation Policy, the Host’s payout will be adjusted accordingly.

5.2. In cases of disputes, chargebacks, or policy violations, Softbnb reserves the right to withhold or deduct payouts until the matter is resolved.

5.3. Hosts found violating Softbnb’s Terms of Service, Host Rules, or Guest Safety Standards may have their payouts withheld or permanently forfeited.


6. Currency & Exchange Rates

6.1. Payouts will be made in the Host’s selected payout currency (USD, NGN, or other supported currencies).

6.2. If a currency conversion is required, Softbnb’s chosen payment processor’s exchange rate will apply.

6.3. Softbnb is not liable for fluctuations in exchange rates or additional bank charges.


7. Agreement & Compliance

7.1. By listing your property on Softbnb, you agree that Softbnb may deduct the 5% service fee before releasing payouts.

7.2. You further agree to comply with all other Softbnb policies, including but not limited to:

  • Terms of Service
  • Privacy Policy
  • Cancellation Policy
  • Guest Rules
  • Host Rules
